I’m sure I’ve said a million times and I’ll say it again; I’m not your typical, traditional bride. My dress isn’t a real wedding dress, we aren’t cutting any cake, we didn’t hire a wedding coordinator, we are making our buffet side dishes, etc. Now I’m at the point where I need to decide whether to wear a veil, headpiece, birdcage, a clip or nothing. I can’t even decide how I want to wear my hair so I’m not sure what type of veil or head thing would work best.
For starters, why in the hell do veils cost $300?!?! Utterly ridiculous for some cheap looking, see-through material… just saying. But, my mom gave me her veil. And it’s beautiful (except for the 1970’a bonnet on top lol). I would be afraid to alter her veil and not really like it. Then I keep looking on Pinterest at the birdcage short veils and they are cute and different. But again, I don’t know if I’ll like it on and I’m not going to buy one for $149 just to hate it. I figured as a last minute or worst case scenario, I’d wait to figure out my hairstyle and probably just get a pretty silver diamond clip. Or for the serious last minute case, wear nothing!
So how’s a bride to know what type of head piece or hair piece she wants?
