Pinterest Makes Everyone a Wedding Planner

I’m one of those weirdos that says something about Pinterest and when the person tells me they don’t have it or don’t use it, I give them a disgusted look of death LOL How can you not love Pinterest?! I’ve been using it for years, and as I’ve said before I love wedding planning. So the first thing I did when I got engaged was make a wedding board of course!

I feel with the rising costs to plan a wedding, the ever-growing internet and Pinterest, more brides-to-be will take the DIY approach. I mean why not?! This is obviously what Ben and I are doing and Pinterest has helped to mold our overall theme and decor for the wedding. From dress ideas, to reception decor, to cocktail hour hors d’oeuvres, to flower arrangements, to hair and makeup and more, Pinterest is your personal consultant. The only need for a wedding planner is to coordinate the day-of events. Most brides take their ideas and pictures to a coordinator to create the consultant’s vision, but why not just do this all yourself?

I love that the small details of our wedding will make our guests say “this is totally Ben & Diana” to themselves. This is what we want! Everyone loved our save the dates and the idea came from Pinterest. We’ve also found some great design and decor items to fit into our love of music. I don’t want to give any more details about the day of ideas because we want our guests to be surprised when they get to the reception. But if you haven’t taken to Pinterest, what are you waiting for??

What are some of your awesome design finds from Pinterest? I’d love to hear them!
